It’s been a very busy time at Velocity Digital, new staff, clients and services! Read on to find out more…

Client news

New clients

We’ve recently moved into the travel sector with Lifehouse Spa & Hotel in Essex and Exotissimo Travel signing up within the space of a week! Both businesses will be fully outsourcing their social media marketing and communication to the Velocity team and we’re very excited to be working with both. Exotissimo is based in Bangkok and represents our first move into south-east Asia. With further clients in Australia, we are certainly spreading our wings!

And here’s a snapshot of news from some of our clients:

Cheeky Chompers

Our wonderful kids retail client, Cheeky Chompers appeared on Dragons’ Den in March, the response has been huge and their Neckerchew product had been flying off the shelves! You can see the Cheeky Chompers story in the infographic here that we produced as part of the Dragons’ Den campaign. We’ve also written a case-study that takes a look at the effect Dragons’ Den has a businesses website and social media, read it here.

Scottish Canals

Our work with Scottish Canals continues as we move towards finalising the social media strategy that will ensure the great opportunities that Scotland’s canals have to offer the Scottish public and beyond are communicated in an effective and engaging fashion.

The Natural Group Australia

Next week will see the launch of a The Natural’s new website, which will allow us to put in place their social media, content and Adwords strategy! A very interesting client that sells magnetic therapy products. It was started by Craig Trinder, an ex motorcycle racing champion who after breaking his back in a crash was looking for an alternative to standard pain-relief drugs and travelled the world in his quest. After time in China, Craig began to use magnetic therapy and found that his pain massively subsided. This is the relaunch of the The Natural, and we’re sure it will be a huge success!

And then there was three

Velocity is now a trio, with Jenny Emslie having joined in February as Digital Account Director and just this week, graduate, Siobhan McCardie has joined as Digital Marketing Executive. It’s a small team, but with a great blend of experience and we are looking forward to working together to deliver excellent results for our clients. Our associate network is as strong as ever and allows us to pick and choose the right suppliers that are best suited to the client’s needs.

Mike was over in Milan last week, speaking at the EFMD conference (universities from across the globe attend) and had a great time discussing the power of Twitter as a tool for communicating with alumni and corporate partners. Mike’s taste in coffee had now become hugely refined and he seems to be talking with an increased use of hand-gestures. It was his first international speaking engagement and Mike is very keen to expand on his speaking experience in coming months.

In the press

The Daily Record featured Velocity Digital this week, with a profile of the business and Mike occupying a double-spread in the print version. You can read the feature here. Thanks to everybody who has read the article and been in touch via social media!
